How Hard Would You Go to Keep a Man?

Do women with low self- esteem try harder to keep a man? Dr. Chris Bale of the University of Huddersfield took a study and seems to think so.

women low self esteem

We all enjoy treating our man to a little something-something, whether it’s a surprise date, some nice lingerie, or a gift they’ve always wanted. It seems, however, that there are a few of us that go a little harder than that, simply because we think our partners are “too good” for us.

According to a group of scientists from the University of Huddersfield, that seems to be the case.

The team, led by Dr. Christopher Bale recently, released the study at the Annual Conference of the British Psychological Society, on women behavior towards their significant others and how desirable they think their partners are. The study was based on an online survey, where 192 participants between the ages of 18 and 60 answered questioned related to self-esteem, relationships, and the efforts and activities women did to keep/hold their man. According to Dr. Bale, the findings “represent women who feel that they have fewer desirable qualities than their partners attempting to make up for this imbalance by investing more time, effort and economic resources in their relationships.”

So what do you think? Do you agree with this study? How far have you gone to keep your man?
